About Us

It is the endeavour of the school to make education a purposeful, meaningful and enjoyable experience. Education is a continuous process by which a generation is prepared for the future by providing as many opportunities as possible along with co-curricular activities in order to develop every aspect of personality. A school which started its journey just fifteen years ago, by now has taken gigantic shape in form of its own school complex with equipped laboratories and library surrounded by a sprawling playground. The vision and dream of our management has been accomplished by constructing a state-of-the-art building with modern amenities. Last but not the least, we owe our personal gratitude and respect to all founder members of Ranaghat Mandakini Educational Welfare Society, as well as members of our managing committee and well wishers. We strongly believe in "if you can dream it, you can do it."

 

 

Our Motto

Philosopher Herbert Spencer said, "Education has for its object the formation of character."
St. Mary's English School was founded in the year 2002 with a mission to inculcate value based education among the children in such a manner that they grow with an inbuilt character based on education, dedication and dynamism.
St. Mary's Secondary School (H.S) and St. Mary's Arcadian School were founded in later years. The schools have developed with an idea of being friendly, progressive, responsible, innovative and flexible to the needs of the children. St. Mary's Group of Institutions was started with a mission to establish a renowned educational institute which shall eradicate the darkness and miseries of illiteracy and produce responsible citizens who are physically fit, mentally sound, intellectually genius and morally worth emulation.
Students from all walks of life are welcome here to build composite families in this educational institution. The need for the creation of intelligent and energetic young people has become the main focus of our school that creates a unique environment and achieves excellence in education.
Our school is a progressive, co-educational, result oriented institution where education is imparted without having any sort of discrimi-nation of caste, creed and religion.

Providing quality education to equip the child for the world of tomorrow by careful augmentation of their mind, heart and body. Intellectual, moral, social and professional enlightenment is aimed at by giving special emphasis to virtues of truthfulness and honesty, politeness, simplicity and self-discipline.

Discipline

"Winners embrace hard work. They love the discipline of it, the trade-off they are making to win losers, on the other hand, see it as punishment. And that's the difference." The maintenance of discipline and good behaviour shall be an essential pre-requisite condition to the students of this school.

Message from the President

Sometimes it's the journey that teaches you a lot about your destination. The journey is in progress, nurtured and benedicted by the lofty, celestial vision of my late father, Balai Chandra Pal. The school has the privilege of having a healthy, harmonious, ambience conducive to the holistic development of the students. Our mission is to transform students into rational thinkers, competent workers, law abiding citizens and spiritually enlightened individuals. This is my belief that the rich values and traditions imbibed here would carry you to greater heights.
Though Aishtala is quite remote, continuous, development and effort to develop is the pivots on which we proceed to achieve whatever we plan. We are trying to do the difficult things while they are easy and do the great things while they are small. We are moving slowly, but enjoying every step along the way. It is all those little steps that make the journey complete.
The kudos of appreciation goes to the team who dedicated their time, energy and positive thought process to make this impression a reality. Whatever makes an impression on the heart seems lovely in the eye.
I feel proud to acknowledge all those who brought laurels in cultural and academic activities, leaving their footprints en route to form a legacy. My thanks and congratulations are also extended to all sincere and hardworking faculty members, office staff, friends and guardians.
My message to all the St. Marians is never to view challenges as a disadvantage. Difficulties are but dares of fate, obstacle but hurdles to try one's skill, troubles but bitter tonics to provide strength, and one rises higher and looms greater after each encounter with adversity.

Message from the Chairman

I would like to add a few more words to honour and privilege, being the Chairman of St. Mary's Secondary School (H.S.) and they are learning environments and learning spaces. Therefore, as the administrative head of St. Mary's Secondary School (H.S.), I constantly feel that socialization, social integration, social placement and social and cultural innovations are the anvils that process individuals. Here, in all the schools run and administered by St. Mary's Secondary School (H.S.), we move ahead with the persistant vision of creating and expanding elites by providing avant-garde learning environments and learning spaces. We stress on the development of talents and virtues, development of individual personality to play a significant role in the process of national development. We constantly try, with a team of highly qualified faculties, to create a school for life. In our hostel too, we constantly serve excellent leadership, dream and inspiration. With reference to John Dewey, let me come to an end to my words " The primary purpose of education and schooling is not only to prepare students to live a useful life, but to teach them how to live pragmatically and immediately in their current environment. And that's our guiding force too! We have taken up an idea, we think of it, dream of it, and forget all other ideas " surely we can achieve excellence.

Message from the Director

Education knows no boundaries. Every child has the right to a learning environment enabling to extract the best in them. This inspired me to create educational institutions with the latest facilities. Education in real sense fosters academic excellence, all-round development, and ensures well being of the young learners. Right environment is essential to nurture abilities of our learners and help them blossom. At St. Mary's Group of Institutions our students mean the world to us. We are proud of them and their achievements. We recognize that all children are unique and endowed with attributes and abilities that we nurture. Our facilities and infrastructure aim at balancing academic and non-academic developmental needs of a child. Thus learning is not confined only to the classroom. Our Learners participate in a broad range of activities, both cultural and co- curricular, which complement and enrich their course work. We provide a learning environment that inspires and motivates. Efforts are taken to instill high moral values along with necessary life skills in young minds. Every child is the centre of learning and personal attention is extended towards physical, intellectual, emotional and spiritual strengths. Today my dream is no longer restricted to myself but is a dream partnered by teachers, parents, mentors, staff and associates. So let's shape a better future believing in the beauty of our dream.
